We are thrilled to announce that our very own Holly Krebs has been named a recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) for earning National Board Certification!
This prestigious grant program aims to acknowledge the professional learning, growth, and achievement of Michigan teachers who have obtained National Board Certification. By promoting the recognition and retention of teachers, this grant supports Goal 7 of Michigan’s Top 10 Strategic Education Plan: increasing the number of certified teachers in areas of shortage.
Krebs expressed her gratitude, stating, "I've been very blessed to work in a school building (Riverview Elementary) that is full of other people who could very easily achieve board certification. We always challenge ourselves and each other in very healthy ways to continue to grow as educators. I find that a blessing to keep me on my toes."
Superintendent Tim Haist praised Mrs. Krebs for her accomplishment, saying, "We're proud of her for continuing to keep that certification and her dedication to professional development and our students."
